FUN

We had a great day at the zoo yesterday. We all got completely soaked because it started raining when we got there and stopped raining when we left 6 hours later. The rain wasnt bad though, it wasnt hot,and it wasnt crowded and the animals were all lot more active then ive seen them at zoos. We loved the rain forest building my favorite parts of that were the waterfall, the tree we climbed up to the second floor, the fruit bats were really cool, and the very large birds flying over our heads trying to poop on uncle mike were really cool. I also really liked the australian outback, they had a wallaby walk and the animals in there just roamed around right along with the people, no fences. The northeastern wood land was really neat too, I want a log cabin just like that one. they had the whole cabin set up so you could sit and relax, with a living room, kitchen, wood stove and fireplaces, the wolf pack in there was neat but our favorite in that part was the giant bald eagle, wes was trying to figure out how he could get the large white tail feather that was lying on the ground, just 4-5 ft away from him. If he would have asked someone they might have given him one , because the sign by it said any feathers that are dropped from the eagles are collected and sent to the department of the interior for distribution to native americans. The boys really liked the dinosaurs, and that was probably everyones funniest moment, we were standing by one and waiting for it to roar and it "spit" right in my face,so I moved and called the little boys over to "hear it roar" and stood them where I had been standing, and it spit in my face again, it was following me around! good thing its feet were planted in the ground, i finally got away! Our great day at the zoo ended with dinner at the Golden Corral (is there any other place to eat?) Ash measured our miles for us and we all walked 6.5 miles so that is a total of 78 miles yesterday and we did anther 80miles here last week . Love ya.

It's a miracle. We are now allowed to get on the family blog at home. Well, at least today anyway. I'm not sure why Uncle Mike decided to try when every other time it blocked us. Anyway, we had a great time at the zoo as well. It was great seeing family, laughing, talking, and walking together. It was also great that Debra bought herself a nice pink umbrella, (first one in ten years) and just as she is saying to Sandi and Ashley, Daaron better not break it, Sandi says "oh, he did" and sure enough...... Oh well.
